During a time of mourning, why do nominal Christian men say the most inappropriate things at the wrong times? Instead of bringing a peaceful solution or togetherness they bring confusion and division.
Mike Huckabee-“the crime was no surprise because we have systematically removed God from public schools. We ask why there is violence in our schools, but we have systematically removed God from our schools, Should we be so surprised that schools would become a place of carnage?”
James Dobson-“the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary resulted from America turning its back on God.”
“Our country really does seem in complete disarray. I’m not talking politically, I’m not talking about the result of the November sixth election; I am saying that something has gone wrong in America and that we have turned our back on God.
I mean millions of people have decided that God doesn’t exist, or he’s irrelevant to me and we have killed 54 million babies and the institution of marriage is right on the verge of a complete redefinition. Believe me, that is going to have consequences, too.”
“And a lot of these things are happening around us, and somebody is going to get mad at me for saying what I am about to say right now, but I am going to give you my honest opinion: I think we have turned our back on the scripture and on God almighty and I think he has allowed judgment to fall upon us. I think that’s what’s going on.”
Sam Morris- “the number of mass shooting were escalating because of schools were government mind-control centers that taught junk about evolution and how to be a homo.”
These are comments being made by NOMINAL Christian men after the terrorist attack that took place on American soil. Instead of speaking to the real issues, such as, guns, parenting, Christian Churches and ethics, they preach falsely about the wrath of God. I wonder if these men study the scriptures, not merely read them. Maybe they should look at it again; which is irrational. Maybe this atrocity took place because of not holistically preaching the entire gospel by these three men. If these three men really care they should speak to the incident that occurred, then help to come up with solutions to help curb this type of violence. Oh, by the way, everyone isn’t a Christian. Do you dismiss them as well? This is a systemic problem that is problematic and woven within our culture. Sure the good news needs to be preached. It can be delivered much better, with better understanding of why bad things happen and done with a little more compassion. The backlash these men will receive will be brushed aside as a misunderstanding or they will play the victim. To learn more about why bad things happen, read my article “Does God cause bad things to happen”(coming soon)? The only thing anyone can do is pray for these three to become learned men of the scriptures. How easy is it dump or say what they said. The simple truth is, bad things will happen and continue to happen. People are looking for answers to life’s hard and harsh realities, and if this is the best they can do, NOMINAL men of faith, our world is really sick.
