In Case of Tragedy, John Pipers Point!

Posted: May 27, 2013 in Religion, Uncategorized

After a tragedy occurs, it is irresponsible to post quotes of scripture of any kind that mentions a storm killing people. This is common sense 101! This makes me think 2 things, first, the person is immature and secondly, he isn’t knowledgeable of the scriptures him or herself.

If any Minister feels this is justifiable, he then is justifiably ignorant! I’m not into name calling, but I will mention the name John Piper for several reasons. He tweeted out for many of his followers as well  as others who may follow someone else that may be following him, the other reasons is that it was reported on in several Christian newspapers. If I wanted to personally speak to Piper, that’s not going to happen, I do believe you should speak to the person and not publicly. Today people selfishly do this to make names for themselves.

John Piper tweed two things: “Your sons and daughters were eating and a great wind struck the house, and it fell upon them, and they are dead.” Job 1:19,“Then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head and fell on the ground and worshiped.” Job 1:20. The story Job is a simple story, he remained blameless in the face of tremendous burden, God allows evil. I’m sorry this story is to stupid to even continue. Read my article Does God Cause Bad Things to Happen?, it sums this up best. Pray for John Piper and his followers.
